With the unveiling of Fortnite Creative in December, designers were given a new framework to create their visions within. As we here at Next Level Design expect, content creators have delivered the unexpected. They've begun transcending the limitations of Creative mode, bringing to life fantastical settings, ingenious mini games, and exceptional competitive playgrounds.
It's a pleasure to feature a level from Fortnite Creative for the very first time. The name of this first ever feature is Zen Temple, which came from the mind and the hands of our very own buddy jumps . Zen Temple is a "Solo puzzle-adventure experience made with the Fortnite Creative Editor".
Buddy has constructed more than a level, he's made a grand adventure. Rather than attempt to describe Zen Temple, I'll share part of buddy's description of his vision for it:
With this puzzle I firstly wanted to design the concept of giving the players a big teaser (the elixir) at the very beginning with them having to solve the entire level in order to get back to that point.
Secondly, I wanted to try to reverse the basic concept of tower puzzles. A lot of jump and run concepts revolve around climbing up somewhere and then getting the reward for it. Well, I wanted to flip that and make it so you actually have to work your way downwards.
