Honestly as shill as it sounds making a BR instead of TF3 sounds, I they made a good call with this. Unless they had something planned for tf3 even more refreshing than apex, TF as a franchise was heading down a very underwhelming direction with each game delivering similarly shallow experiences

Dude Valve isn't going to do anything with Half Life or Team Fortress, when it comes to making the game. The way Valve works is that it is up to someone to get the ball rolling on a project and from what I have heard from a buddy they don't have much interest in doing much with them. The Team Fortress team is very small and it sounds like everyone is too intimidated to get pass the writing stage for Half Life.

I really like valve, i've always interpreted the lack of HL3/ Portal 3/ TF3 as the result of contentment, like the first game was iteration and the sequels where just perfections of the formula based off of the first games shortcomings lol. I know it's not that simple but that's how i've always viewed it

Because apex legends uses most of tf2 assets with not very much original content, it's got my gears turning, maybe tf3 still is in development but it was just put on the back burner when word came down EA wanted their own BR. Maybe work will resume on tf3 now that apex is out? hmmmm i wonder

Apex Legends uses Titanfall assets. Valve is not associated with EA anymore. Source is a free engine which Respawn modified for Titanfall and yeah Valve is content with steam making them money. I have a buddy who works in the Valve building(or at least did) and that was basically what he told me about Half Life 3 and TF3. I have played Tf2 a decent amount as well and from the gameplay I have seen there doesn't seem to be many Team Fortress assets. I am playing it tonight so I guess I might see what you are talking about.
Edit: Just realized you mean Titanfall 2 when you say TF2 and people think they are as retarded as I am.
