85% forged and like 60% lit These pictures show just how much lighting can impact the appearance of a level. There's very little variation in the color and texture of the structures, but it still looks good.

icyhotspartin, I took a walk around your map yesterday evening. To me, this is by far your best map. I see improvements in so many areas. Pathing/movement options seem to be balanced pretty well. Spacing and scaling are good. It's easily readable overall. Looking forward to the release. :

I'm quite proud of the improvements I've made since its conception, even if my old habits are bogging down the framerate. I'll make sure to publish it here first, hopefully by about 3 pm or so. I also think it would serve as a pretty good test-piece for a short article... I'll get on that later today Meanwhile, westin's is playing really well, I might take some cues from that for the next one.... ;)

Soldat Du Christ, looks like you’re getting comfortable. You’re using Pro builder?

Looks great Soldat Du Christ. I assume you're still struggling with performance? From what I've read, the Hammer editor is probably the best option for lower end computers. I haven't had a chance to post it yet, but I have a fair amount of documentation I could pass on to you if you decide you're interested in checking it out. A google search will also provide everything you need. On a different note, I decided not to build my map in Unreal yet. I've never really invested enough time in learning about color and lighting. Since I'm most comfortable working within Forge right now, I decided I'll gain some experience with those using that tool. I'm not even going to worry about theme at this point. Just going to mess about with color combinations, and get some lighting practice. It may also end up being my first project in Unreal, just going to delay it a bit. I'm sure I'll be sharing some pictures as time goes on, hoping to get some feedback/advice.

I know it's actually way lighter just to work with high poly assets as far as unreal is concerned. Thankfully I was blessed recently. My brother in-law's friend from work (IT) was getting a new computer, and he sold his "old" computer to me for 600. Apparently if you're a single nerd who makes 6 figures in IT, you don't care about losing 1700 dollars, because the parts are collectively worth about 2300. 1080ti, 32 GB of ram, a 400 dollar case with 8 fans, and so on.

Wow! Can I be his friend? lol That's awesome though. Very nice of the guy to sell it to you for that price.
