Think like dragon ball z, or zenyatta from overwatch. I wouldn't call it magic just because it comes along with all the associated baggage of medievil themes, although it's pretty much the samr thing. I call it kinetic casting, energy sustained from perpetual motion that can bend into different forms Something like this? Hey that’s pretty neat You know if that’s like a lock-on style attack? While I’m here, here’s a couple sneak previews at an art project I’m working on with Hushed Behemoth

Oh shit icy that looks sick.
Also. Am I the only one who likes the Epic store and thinks the steam drama is annoying.

Epic is using the same stupid tactics as the consoles with exclusives that they don't even develop by simply buying out. They're using their power from Fortnite's success to shoehorn themselves into competing with steam without even trying to make an adequate service. It's barebones, and they don't really want to do anything about it as far as I know. I can't wait for Borderlands 3 to release next April.

Looks great so far westinIt definitely has more detail than most forge stuff, so I'll be interested to see how you deal with the challenges of that as the project progresses. Having lots of negative space certainly helps.

Having lots of negative space certainly helps. It shouldn't be that hard. More than 75% of the expensive architecture is in place. Once I finish that curved hallway to the right of the large tower, and another (smaller) tower at the end, the rest of the forging is mostly terrain. I think the real limitations will be frame drops and natural lighting.

Love the gate details on the tempietto, adds a nice touch - keeps players flowing right?

The map I did with the Mediterranean vibe had some issues because of grillework. Anything I saved by deleting the excess I put into the palette ceiling work hahaha

Sometimes i just get so filled with passion and i feel sad, like there isnt enough time in a life time to make awesome games, they take way to long and i just want to make so many Don't despair. You have many years ahead of you. Plenty of time to create. Not being able to do everything immediately is often a blessing in disguise. A lot of times as we grow, we realize that the ideas we had last week, last month, or last year were really dumb. If you focus on your best idea at any given time, you'll be in good shape and see good results.

I've identified several events in my childhood that foreshadowed me becoming a designer as an adult... I remember making my own fictional games with make beleive rules and playing them out with legos and forcing my sister to play with me. I would draw world maps on paper and relate where we where in the map to where we where in the house and create theae entire story arcs complete with imaginary dungeons and cutscenes like the legend of zelda... I used to draw maze games and try to spice them up with traps, death pits, locked doors, items and enemies, all completely on paper and with honor rules to make it work, it all makes sense now why i eventualy gravitated towards map design. I remember conducting experiments with ant colonies, i would put them on a piece of land and create a moat of water around them and observe how they would escape, i liked creating elaborate ways out to test them and just watch the experience my creartion, pretty much like how i ended up doing in forge in halo 4 for years... Oh man good times. Anybody else have moments like that in their childhood that you can kind of connect the dots with how you are now?
